Tuesday is a very important day....Katie will be THREE!!!
Today we had her little party with the family. She had requested a Winnie the Pooh cake, and as you can see, between Memaw and Mommy, we put one together. Red velvet with cream cheese icing. Yum!
Memaw also made one of Katie's favorite meals - SPAGHETTI!
We've had a busy weekend - on Saturday, Katie, my neice Cassie and I went shopping and I finally got Katie the shoes I've wanted to buy her since she was born...pink Chuck Taylor high top Converse! (gotta love JC Penney's doorbuster sales!) Today when I put Katie's "Birthday Girl" pin on her, she said it was a badge, like Daddy's. Such a smart girly! She loves her books and Aunt Angie spent some time reading to Katie today, and then we saw the lollipop that Aunt Angie brought her...that's gonna take a lot of wipes to clean up! Aunt Dawn got in on that action with 4 big containers of play doh. Katie thought it was great that all of us "grown ups" had as much fun with it as she did. Aunt Glenda stuck with the Crayola Color Wonder - only marks on the special paper. It seems that everyone loves spoiling that little bug!
We still sometimes can't believe Katie is here, with us, healthy and happy and now she's turning 3. Unbelieveable.
She is just the best girl!
