Look what a happy girl! (and Katie's pretty happy too, ha ha!)
Katie just finished her dinner - you may see some leftover chicken noodle dinner on those cheeks. (I'll apologize to her for feeding her that yucky stuff when she's older!)

We had a GREAT report from the eye specialist on Tuesday. He said that Katie's eyes are fully developed and that they look great and that ***drum roll please*** she doesn't have to go back to see him again! YAY! She's happy about that - this is the one where they dilate her eyes with 3 sets of drops and then put the little metal things in her eyes to hold them open. Ugh! I would hate it too. She will just go for regular eye exams now. From all we've learned about preemies, as long as she was on oxygen, this is yet another miracle!

Other than that, she's just growing and eating and eating and eating. Her new favorite is those gerber puffs. She loves being able to feed herself. She's thinking about crawling, but she IS my daughter after all, so she tends toward a little bit of laziness. :-) It won't be long though, until she sees something she really wants and decides to go for it.

Donnie and I are doing great. We're planning a little getaway for our anniversary next month. It will be our first night away from Katie, but she will be fine, just a little extra spoiling from Memaw. We are really looking forward to it. Even before Katie came along, we can't remember the last time we did something like this.
