Hello everyone!
Just wanted to drop a short post to ask for prayer - again. I will be having surgery tomorrow. Went in for a check up today and 2 things happened. First, it seems the IUD that I thought was a great answer for my situation, has perforated my uterus and is sitting behind it. (WHAT???) So, that has to be removed. Also, it looks like in spite of having corrective surgery a couple of years ago, my uterus is still malformed enough that it would be very unlikely for me to be able to carry a pregnancy to term. (answers a lot of questions for us though.) So, since I am going in for surgery anyway, I am also having my tubes tied tomorrow. This isn't a decision I wanted to be making at 29 years old, but I believe it is the best decision for my situation. We have our Katie. She is our Miracle and our Blessing. She seems like even more of a miracle after learning what we did today!
Please pray that all will go well. It seems that I don't do anything the easy way - you remember the saga of hematomas and infections and bleeding...oh my! :-) I just have to trust that this will go well and I will be safe throughout. It's always scary when you're facing general anesthesia, but it's not my first rodeo, right? :-) And I know with all my heart and soul that God is watching over me. Thank you for your prayers.
Katie is doing great! She's growing and changing everyday it seems. I wanted to post a picture of her from her first few days in this world. It's amazing to see the way she's grown!
Thank you all for checking in and just for being there. We'll update you soon!

You are absolutely right in everything you've said. God IS and will continue to be watching over your family. I pray He will guide the surgeon's hand and all will go perfectly this afternoon.
And that lil princess of yours is getting so big so fast! She has changed so much since we saw her only six weeks ago! I know that you know, simply by holding her close, that God has your family cradled in His hands.
We love you!
