Hello all! Welcome to our new family website. We have been so thankful for the use of Care Pages these past several months, but are going to start a new site for Katie's progress and just to have a little family site. We don't presume that tons of people are going to be just dying to see what's up at the Hammons House, but we KNOW you'll want to see pictures of Katie! :-)

Katie is continuing to thrive! God has just blessed her and us so much. It's hard to believe she's the spindly little girl who was laying in that heated isolette under bilirubin lights just under 5 months ago. At her pediatrician appointment last week, she hit 7 lbs 8 ozs, which is exactly what Donnie weighed when he was born. She's going to stay on her high calorie formula for another month - gotta get her fattened up for the winter. Actually, her nurse just wants her to keep gaining weight and strength steadily so that she'll be ready to fight off all the germs that come with fall and winter time.

A couple of weeks ago, I introduced Katie to my favorite fall pasttime - FOOTBALL! It was an Indianapolis Colts preseason game, so she got her first lesson in what makes a great quarterback from Peyton Manning. This Saturday is the season opener for the Tennessee Volunteers, so we'll be watching that together too!

Around the same time, Donnie introduced Katie to his favorite any season pasttime - motorcycles! That's a great picture of the two of them with his bike. I told him she has to have a pink helmet! Maybe with a princess Katie tiara painted on it. What do you think?

Katie has more appointments coming up in the next few weeks. Her eyes are continuing to improve which is such an answer to prayers! Thank you for continuing to pray for us!
